First to determine the material of diaphragm pump, common pump body material are: cast steel, ductile iron, aluminum alloy, stainless steel (304/316/316L), plastic PP polypropylene, fluorine plastic (PVDF), according to the nature of the material to choose. Non-corrosive materials generally choose cast iron, ductile iron or aluminum alloy material, corrosive liquid according to the degree of corrosion, choose stainless steel, plastic or fluorine plastic material. Refer to the corrosive parameter table of the material. In the case of uncertainty about material characteristics, it is recommended to choose the same material as the conveying pipe. If the temperature of the material is high, it is recommended to use stainless steel and perfluorinated diaphragm pumps. If the material has hard particles, it is recommended to use metal diaphragm pumps. After selecting the material of the pump body, the vulnerable parts of the diaphragm pump should be selected, which is also crucial to the use experience. The material is divided into three ways, Teflon, polyether, super Teflon, etc., which should be selected according to the corrosivity, wear and temperature of the material.
Determine the size of the diaphragm pump model, which can be selected according to the flow rate or caliber. The actual flow rate should be estimated according to the working condition (suction and head will affect the flow, you can refer to the flow curve diagram or ask the manufacturer to determine).
